The Ultimate Gift to the Community

Giving to the United Way annual campaign addresses the needs of our community today. There’s another gift you should know about—the “Ultimate Gift,” a planned gift to UWCI’s endowment, The Forever Fund.

What does a gift to The Forever Fund mean? A gift to the Forever Fund means that you are leaving a legacy to the community-a gift that continues on in perpetuity, helping future generations. It’s as simple as naming UWCI as beneficiary of an IRA, insurance policy, or other beneficiary designation form, or providing language to your attorney for inclusion in your will or living trust. Here is sample language:

“I give, devise, and bequeath to United Way of Central Indiana, Inc., Indianapolis, IN, Federal Tax ID #35-1007590, percent of all the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate (or__________dollar, property, securities, etc. described below) to be placed in the endowment, The Forever Fund,” for United Way of Central Indiana’s general use and purpose.

If you would like to endow your annual gift, UWCI’s planned giving staff can provide you with information on the various options to complete the transaction. We invite you to contact us and learn more about the benefits you may be entitled to as an estate gift donor through The Forever Society.

If you are considering a bequest but would like to ensure that your bequest will be used for a specific purpose, please let us know. We will work with you and your attorney to help identify ways that will ensure your charitable objectives can be met. We will also work with you and your attorney to craft language to accomplish your objectives.
