Giving to the United Way annual campaign addresses the needs of our community today. There’s another gift you should know about—the “Ultimate Gift,” a planned gift to UWCI’s endowment, The Forever Fund.
What does a gift to The Forever Fund mean? A gift to the Forever Fund means that you are leaving a legacy to the community-a gift that continues on in perpetuity, helping future generations. It’s as simple as naming UWCI as beneficiary of an IRA, insurance policy, or other beneficiary designation form, or providing language to your attorney for inclusion in your will or living trust. Here is sample language:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to United Way of Central Indiana, Inc., Indianapolis, IN, Federal Tax ID #35-1007590, percent of all the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate (or__________dollar, property, securities, etc. described below) to be placed in the endowment, The Forever Fund,” for United Way of Central Indiana’s general use and purpose.
